  Had requested a bench seat prior to our visit but the host attempted to seat us elsewhere. Had my coat in my hand and literally had to hold it out to this host for him to finally offer to take it for me. At an upscale place this should be done without hesitation. The food was delicious.

  The restaurant is attached to a hotel which we didn't notice before we went. On a Saturday at 5:30 we didn't have a wait and sat right down. You get free bread, half garlic butter (really good), half plain white bread (we didn't eat, we prefer more garlic bread). The atmosphere was comfortable except when I looked at the ceiling. Ceiling tiles are so easy to do, I don't know why folks let them stay stained & moldy instead of replacing them. Because of that and the price of the meals considering it was a hotel restaurant, good food, etc... it wasn't elegant dinning. We started with the fried calamari which wasn't chewy (thank you) & lightly breaded. I like my calamari with more zing but it was good. We had the pork chop with peppers but, the peppers and that pork chop does not go well together. The pork chop was huge, grilled & had good flavor without the peppers. I had a seafood Alfredo mix. My oldest son had a shrimp Alfredo mix. Both Alfredos were delicious and I had leftovers. My youngest had the grilled cheese sandwich and fries. Which he of course loved. Our ticket was just over $100. Overall, this seems to be place for the older retired crowd, food is pretty good, needs some remodeling/touch up, and the waitress was fast and friendly. My favorite part was the scallops!!! Highly recommended.

  While checking Tripadvisor for restaurants in Waterbury, I was surprised to see Sultan's was number one. We decided to check it out for ourselves. I get it now. The food was delicious! My husband tried a Turkish beer that he really liked. We ordered the both hot and cold appetizer samplers.

  The food is amazing. The service is exceptional. When you eat here you have another meal for the next day. I have been eating at this restaurant for 27years. I had my first date here with my handsome loving Husband.
